CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME
I study journalism at University of Chile, and actually I'm in third year. In this semester I had eight courses, all differents, but not all interesting. The most important was Society and Tendences, this was my specialization elective, and was amazing, my teacher was so cute and kind, and she offer me work in La Tercera or the magazine Qué Pasa, sadly the editor only wants students of fourth grade, so I couldn't do my practice this summer in those places. But it dosen't matter, because she tries to help me to publish my last reportage about marijuana .
Like I said before, not all my courses are amazing, in fact one most boring and hateful courses was Strategic Comunication, and Digital Gadgets and Design II, this are areas for the institucional journalists, and I really sorry for say this, but this the worst job ever, it's like an office job. And if you think that we use technology in this courses, you are so wrong, only we saw power points and listen a boring teacher. Sorry Julio and Constanza, but this a reality (the names of teachers are those).
Anyway, I think I had a really good professor, because he tried to make us speake in English and also read poetry and see movies about social problems in Jamaica, maybe you know him, is Benjamin Alaluf, one of the lights of Icei. If the institute could give him better spaces for make the class, maybe we pay more attetion to the movies.
To finalize my blog, I would tolk about Karla Palma, she was my teacher in Estudios Latinoamericanos, an epic course, and only I have to say that I want to work with her, like an assitent in their classes, because she knows a lot and she is so funny. I think every one love her, independet of the califications or the evalutions.

ResponderEliminarI like that you speak with names and surnames, that's good for those who come to the university. I am glad that some things are improving, like advancing certain branches that we had, the previous generations, in the end.
I had classes with Benjy too <3 and the thing about Qué Pasa it's great! good luck with that :)
ResponderEliminarKarla Palma is the queen of icei, it's a great teacher!
ResponderEliminarI belive you. Listening boring teacher talk about their power points are the wrost, you end up by knowing nothing! Ugh, we should do more interactive and productives classes, right?
ResponderEliminarI also hate the Strategic Communication course! But I love the Digital Tools course! My teacher Andrea Hoare is the best in the world <3
